History of Cajees in South Africa
Cajees has a long and rich history dating back to the early 1900s, where the late Aboobaker Cajee, a highly-skilled watchmaker started a small watch store in the gold-rich mining town of Roodepoort. The Company grew from strength-to-strength over the extensive period having diversified into various aspects of retail businesses such as electronics and cycle shops.
In 2018 the Cajees Group celebrated it’s 100 years of existence having started from humble beginnings in 1918.
Throughout the years of trade, the Cajees Group has stuck to its commitment and the core values of the founder’s that are, passion for service, discipline in working hard and excellence in watchmaking and having world-class retail watch stores.

- Engraving watches and Jewellery
- Waterproofing and sealing of watches
- Battery testing and replacement of watch batteries
- Strap shorting and replacement (Cajees has a large variety of straps to choose from when replacing a strap).
- Should the watch have something mechanically wrong and it cannot be fixed instore, book it in and Cajees Time Zone will send it to distributors to fix.
